On 6th of December, during Ledger Op3n in Paris the company officially announced their new device, the Ledger Stax – an absolute ​​breakthrough in the hardware wallet technology.

Compared to the known Ledger Nano devices, Ledger Stax comes with a completely renewed look and provides revolutionized Web3 experience. It has a touch screen with the size of a credit card enabling you to manage your crypto assets & NFT collections with ease, and view full transaction details at a glance. The inventor and mastermind behind the Ledger Stax design is Tony Fadell, the creator of the iPod. With the Ledger Stax release, comes also the need to make the existing Ledger Nano apps compatible with Stax. Therefore, Zondax is taking care of the implementation of the apps to the new Stax, but only for the clients that have maintenance support signed.

Here it’s also important to point out that Ledger has adopted a new policy where projects that are in the top 200 on Coin Market Cap will be prioritized and reviewed for public release as soon as possible. However, the projects outside of the top 200 are not guaranteed to be released publicly and they will be reviewed on a best-effort basis.
